Ontario will be celebrating their award winning Ice wines at the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival. The festival is begins on Friday, January 19 and continues until Sunday, January 28, 2007.

There will be many chances to taste the celebrated Niagara Icewine. Area chefs will prepare gourmet foods to complement the wines perfectly. Learn about the terrain and grapes and a lot more about Icewine.  

There is a very special package on Friday, January 26 to Sunday, January 28. the Icewine Classic Weekend Package is a fabulous arrangement at an excellent price. Meridian Credit Union presents the third annual "Winterfest in the Square. The fund raising event is held indoors, so it is out of the cold. Niagara wineries, cuisine and live entertainment will be featured.

The Gordon Halloran "Painting Below Zero" Exhibit

Art exhibit by internationally recognized artist. Gordon Halloran's paintings were featured at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. Halloran invented a new art form in the early nineties, frozen paintings. On the outside terrace at the Shaw Festival Theatre is completely new and unique installation of Paintings Below Zero will be created, using copper piping in addition to the freezer plated system that keeps the ice frozen. These paintings can only be viewed during the festival, as they melt.
